RE:
REQUEST FOR PROVISION OF DIRECTOR
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS – CONCEPT PLAN MP 09_0170 AND PROJECT APPLICATION MP
09_0183 – TELOPEA URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT
The Department has received a preliminary environmental assessment and request for Director General’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (DGR’s) from Housing NSW for the above mentioned Concept Plan and Project Application on 28 August 2009, pursuant to Part 3A of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act).
The Department has authorised the lodgement of a concept plan pursuant to section 75M of the EP&A Act. The proposal includes:
§ Concept Plan seeking to construct a mixture of approximately 1,900 private and public dwellings ranging in height from two to six storeys;
§ Project Application for the demolition of existing structures and construction of 102 residential flat units on Shortland Precinct and 53 residential flat units on part of Moffats Precinct.
Pursuant to section 75F(4) of the EP&A Act, the Director General requests you to provide details of key issues and assessment requirements which may be included in the DGR’s. A copy of the preliminary environmental assessment of the Concept Plan and Project Applicaiton, submitted by the proponent, is attached. A copy of the draft DGR’s is also attached for your reference.
The provision of details of key issues and assessment requirements would be appreciated as soon as possible but no later than close of business on 28 October 2009.
