Recommendation
to Traffic Engineering Advisory Group:
That Speed Humps not be installed in
Comment:
The Committee noted that there is no
technical reason for not installing the speed humps.
Council’s Service Manager – Traffic
and Transport advised that if survey responses showed that greater than 80% of
respondents supported the proposal then it was considered that there is a
general agreement in the street to install the speed humps. Where there was 50%-80% of respondents
supporting the proposal it was considered that there was no consensus and the
report then considered other factors such as collision history.
