Extension of Resident Parking Scheme in Northmead

Recommendation
to
1. That
half of the all day
parking on the north side of Balmoral Road between Kleins Road and Redbank
Road, Northmead be restricted with a ‘2 Hour Parking 8.00am - 6.00pm Mon - Fri
Permit Holders Excepted Area 10’ restriction as shown in the attached sketch.
2. That half of the all day parking on the
west side of Beamish Road (outside Nos. 45 to 85), Northmead be restricted with
a ‘2 Hour Parking 8.00am - 6.00pm Mon - Fri Permit Holders Excepted Area 10’
restriction as shown in the attached sketch.
3. That ‘No Stopping’ restrictions be
installed on the north side of Balmoral Road at Redbank Road and at Kleins
Road, Northmead as shown in the attached sketch.
4. Further,
that the residents
living within the proposed Resident Parking Scheme in Balmoral Road and part of
Beamish Road, Northmead be eligible for Resident Parking Permits in accordance
with Council guidelines.

3.00pm-7.00pm Mon-Fri’ restriction be installed in Morris Street at Marsden
Road, Carlingford.
2. Further, that the existing ‘No Left Turn 6.30am-9.30am Mon-Fri Buses and Taxis
Excepted’ restrictions in Perry Street at King Street be removed.
Comments
Peter Wells of the STA inquired
whether any traffic modelling has been carried out to determine the affect of
the proposed turning restrictions to the performance of the signalised
intersection of King and Stewart Streets.
Recommendation from the
1. That a ‘No Right Turn 6.00am-10.00am,
3.00pm-7.00pm Mon-Fri’ restriction be installed in Morris Street at Marsden
Road, Carlingford.
2. That the existing ‘No Left Turn 6.30am-9.30am Mon-Fri Buses and Taxis
Excepted’ restrictions in Perry Street at King Street be removed.
3. Further, that the alteration of turning
restrictions in Morris Street and Perry Street, Carlingford be monitored and a report
to Parramatta Traffic Committee be provided 6 months after implementation of
the restrictions.

installed on the south side of Phillip Street between Horwood Place and Erby
Place.
