Blacktown to Parramatta Connections

Grant: Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Project Value: $1,500,000

Grant Value: $1,500,000

Route Type: Majority off-road

Location:

-     Station Road Toongabbie through the open space reserves connecting to Chanel Street and then into the Old Windsor Road T-Way Cycleway.

-     The route extends from the T-Way into Winston Hills along Goliath Ave into Barnetts Road.

-     An on-road connection at the end of the T-Way at Westmead down Caroline Street into Parramatta Park.

Completion Date: 30 June 2010.

 

 

Parramatta Valley Cycleway Missing Links - Park Street foreshore cycleway extension, Rydalmere.

Grants: NSW Government Sharing Sydney Harbour Access Program &

Australian Government Jobs Fund - Community Infrastructure Project.

           

Project Value: $793,485

Grant Value: Sharing Sydney Harbour $150,000 (pending announcement), Australian Government: $400,000.

Route Type: off-road

Location:

-     Along the foreshore reserve from Park Road to Pike Street, Rydalmere.

-     Along the river foreshore from Pike Street around to Subiaco Creek Bridge.

Completion Date: December 2010.

 

 

Ermington Bay Nature Pathway

Grant: Australian Government Jobs Fund – Local Jobs Project.

This project will provide access and environmental restoration works around Ermington Bay including a boardwalk with bird hides with associated bushland regeneration and estuarine revegetation works.

Project Value: $1,607,500

Grant Value: $1,307,500

Route Type: off-road

Location:

-     Along the foreshore reserve from Waratah Street to George Kendall Riverside Park, Melrose Park.

 

Completion Date: December 2011 (to be confirmed).

 

 

 

 

 

Guildford Off-Road Shared Path Extension

Grant: Regional & Local Community Infrastructure Program (RLCIP) - yet to be awarded.

Project Value: $65,000

Grant Value: $65,000

Route Type: off-road

Location: This project will extend the shared pathway through Council parks from Guildford Road to Caroline Street in Granville.

Completion Date: September 2010.

 

Secure Bicycle Parking in Parramatta City Centre

Grant: Australian Government Jobs Fund – Local Jobs Project.

Project Value: $172,000

Grant Value: $86,000

Project Description: Provision of 40 secure bicycle parking spaces and end of trip facilities at Erby and Horwood Place carparks.

Completion Date: December 2011 (to be confirmed).
