Comments

The representative for Wayne Merton MP, advised the Committee that heavy vehicles use the northern driveway off Junction Road (near Romulus Street) to access the loading area located at the rear of the Winston Hills Shopping Centre.  These heavy vehicles cross unbroken double centreline marking to turn left into the property.  As the driveway is near the bend, trucks are not visible to westbound motorists on Junction Road and therefore compromise road safety.

Recommendation from the Traffic Engineering Advisory Group:

That the safety issues in relation to heavy vehicles accessing the Winston Hills Shopping Centre using the northern driveway off Junction Road be investigated and a report be submitted at the next TEAG meeting.

The Chairman declared the meeting closed at 3:10pm.
