Cycleway Development Project Status

Description |
· The Committee was provided a project status for: 1. Toongabbie to Westmead Corridor Study, 2. Finlaysons Creek (under the Western Railway Line), Feasibility Study, 3. Update of the Parramatta Bike Plan, 4. Upcoming Path Closures and · A question was raised how are walking tracks and cycleway closures and events communicated to the public. · A question was raised is there a list of all projects related to Active Transport. · Parramatta Traffic Committee sought feedback from Active Transport Advisory Committee regarding speed cushions on Bulli Road and Binalong Road Toongabbie. Attachment 1 - Presentation slide 8.

Outcome |
· The Committee discussed the listed projects. · A response to the Committee in relation to walking tracks and cycleway closures will be provided before the next meeting. · Staff will create a Microsoft Teams group for collaboration of Committee members. · The Committee discussed the options and voted option 2 – speed cushions on Bulli Road, Binalong Road Toongabbie. The motion put was carried UNANIMOUSLY.

Discuss Advisory Committee Members’ priorities for the current term

Description |
· The Committee identified the list below as priorities; 1. Pump Track at George Kendall Riverside Park, 2. Bike parking within the local government area, 3. Bike lockers within the local government area, 4. Alfred Street Bridge and 5. Unicycle court 6. Cycleway Audit 7. Off road bike racing track · The Committee suggested an action tracker (action points) register be created.

Outcome |
· Committee will continue discussion of its priorities at its next scheduled meeting. · Secretariat will compile a spreadsheet listing priorities, including projects and programs related to pedestrians and cycleways by 6 December 2022. · Secretariat will provide a spreadsheet via Microsoft Teams by 6 December 2022. |

· The Committee raised a number of concerns within the local government area that impact Active Transport Advisory Committee.

Next Meeting Scheduled Meeting Date – To Be Advised

Description |
· As per terms of reference the Active Transport Advisory Committee meet bi-monthly. These meetings are to be scheduled the day before the Parramatta Traffic Committee. Parramatta Traffic Committee meetings dates for 2023 are to be confirmed.
