Acknowledgement of Country

Description |
The Committee received and noted apologies from Lord Mayor Councillor Donna Davis, Deputy Lord Mayor Sameer Pandey, Dr. Sarah Barns and Dr. Ian Oppermann.
The Convenor nominated Peter Runcie for the position of Chairperson.
When put to vote, the nomination of Peter Runcie to the position of temporary Chairperson was UNANIMOUS.

Peter Runcie assumed the role as Chairperson for this Advisory Committee meeting.

Confirmation of Minutes
The minutes of the Smart City Advisory Committee meeting, held on 25 August 2022, was received and noted, and confirmed as true record of the proceeding of that meeting.

The Convenor provided a presentation to the Committee on Parramatta’s Context.

6. |
Research Paper Update |
|
Description |
The Convenor provided an update on the status of the Smart City and Innovation Strategy research paper.
The Committee requested to collaborate beyond committee meetings to contribute to the ongoing discussion via Teams.

Outcome |
The Committee is to provide further feedback on the circulated draft research paper by Friday 14 October 2022.
Staff will create a Microsoft Teams group for collaboration of Committee members.

7. |
Strategy Visioning Workshop with Cred Consulting |
|
Description |
Cred Consulting facilitated a workshop with the Committee and the Committee gave responses to questions during the workshop.
Cred Consulting provided a workshop session on the strengths and opportunities for Parramatta in drafting the Smart City and Innovation Strategy.

Outcome |
Cred Consulting will share the miro link to continue collaboration.
Staff to provide more detail to enablers in the strategy.

An extra meeting is to be confirmed in late November 2022.
