DETERMINATION
(a) That
Parramatta Local Planning Panel, exercising the functions of Council as the
consent authority pursuant to the provisions of Section 4.16 of the EP&A
Act 1979, grant approval to DA/56/2019 for a period of five (5) years within
which physical commencement is to occur from the date on the Notice of
Determination, subject to conditions of consent.
(b) Further,
that those who made a submission be advised of the Parramatta Local
Planning Panel’s decision.
The
Panel decision was unanimous.

REASONS FOR DECISION
1.
The Panel supports the findings in the report and endorsed the reasons
contained in that report.
2.
The development is permissible in the R4 zone and satisfies the
requirements of all the applicable planning controls.
3.
The development will provide provision for additional affordable
housing.
4.
The site is located in an accessible area.
5.
The boarding house will be operated by a community housing provider.
6.
The design of the building is compatible with the desired future
character of the locality, and has been presented to a Design Excellence
Advisory Panel.
